As we are a charity we rely on funding and donations to ensure our service continues. A low point for us last year meant that due to funding issues we were unable to continue our services and had to stop the waiting list for counselling as well as lose some of our staff and the helpline was rarely open due to this. This was a major hit for KCRASAC as it meant survivors had no where to go in Kirklees and Calderdale for specialised support. We have since managed to hire new staff, have the helpline running more often and re-open our waiting list by fundraising and therefore we solely rely on donations from others and funding from other institutions.
To fundraise for our charity we hold numerous events throughout the year. On the 14th of September we will challenge ourselves to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks within 10 hours. We are all working really hard to ensure we can complete this goal and any sponsors or donations would be greatly appreciated.
